For the next 30 days (commencing August 30, 2006), a new page will be posted each day highlighting basic actions people can do to move towards sustainability. These are also being sent as emails to the listservs of the Oklahoma Sustainability Network, the Oscar Romero Catholic Worker house, and firstname.lastname@example.org .

Day 1 Use a solar clothes dryer.
Day 2 Install low flow shower heads and faucet aerators.
Day 3 How many light bulbs does it take to change the world?
Day 4 Know yourself.
Day 5 Abandon disposables!
Day 6 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair, Make It Over, Make Do, Do Without
Day 7 Take the bus, ride a bicycle, walk
Day 8 Compost! Because a rind is a terrible thing to waste.
Day 9 Many hands make light work: Join, and be active in, a grassroots sustainability organization.
Day 10 Plant lots of trees.
Day 11 Be wary of debt.
Day 12 Invest in green and socially just enterprises.
Day 13 Develop a plan. Write it down. Stage it. Finance it. Implement it.
